Privacy Policy

BaiKhata ("we", "our", "the app") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect when you use BaiKhata, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Information we collect

Account: phone number, name, shop details you enter (name, address, GSTIN, UPI ID, Instagram, WhatsApp).
Business data: items, customers, suppliers, bills, purchases, expenses and any images you upload — stored to power the billing features.
Device: we use camera and photo-library access only when you tap the scan or upload buttons (to read handwritten parchis, menus or attach item photos). We do not access the camera or photos in the background.
Diagnostics: basic crash/usage logs so we can fix problems.

2. How we use it

To provide the billing, inventory, customer-udhaar, marketing and reporting features you sign up for, to send WhatsApp bills/marketing on your behalf when you opt in, and to keep the service running securely.

3. Third parties

Google Cloud / Firebase — hosting, storage and app delivery.
MongoDB Atlas — encrypted database that stores your shop data.
Google Gemini — AI vision used only when you scan a parchi or menu image; the image is processed and discarded.
Meta WhatsApp Business API — only for messages you explicitly send from BaiKhata.

We never sell your data or share it with advertisers.

4. Data retention & deletion

Your data is retained while your account is active. You can export a full backup any time from Settings → Backup, and request full account deletion by emailing admin.bisnoi@gmail.com — deletion is completed within 30 days.

5. Security

Data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored on encrypted infrastructure. Access is protected by phone-OTP login and role-based permissions for staff.

6. Children

BaiKhata is a business tool and is not directed at children under 13.

7. Changes

We may update this policy; the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new "Last updated" date.
